Students are given 8 options for making various homemade instruments. They are to refer to the “Materials Needed” section in the table to see how many household supplies they have. Based on what they can find they are to try and create as many instruments as they can without instructions. This allows them creative freedom to make the instrument their own. After they have made their instrument(s), they are to use their instrument(s) to try one (or both) of the two activities listed at the bottom of the page. They are also challenged in the directions to create one instrument from the string family, brass family, percussion family, and woodwind family if possible. This is a fabulous, creative resource for distance learning and can also be adapted for the classroom if you can obtain and provide the materials and resources. File is in editable word.
