This is a Spring Rhythm Chant Composition template for 3rd Grade and older. Students compose their own 24-beat Spring Rhythm Chant, with each box representing one beat. They use arrows to show that notes are held for more than one beat through more than one box. They are to utilize the word bank at the bottom of the page to create the chant. There is a line at the bottom of each beat box for students to write the words they choose under their note values. The syllables in the words should represent the number of beats each word gets. Note values included are: quarter notes, quarter rests, barred eighth notes, half notes, half rests, dotted half notes, whole notes and whole rests.
